Job Title: Indian Cuisine Chef

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Indian Cuisine Chef to join our team at THE GURU FINE INDIAN CUISINE (2289833 Ontario Inc.). As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • No degree, certificate or diploma required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to handle heavy loads
  • Repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods
