Job Title: Indian Cuisine Chef

We are seeking an experienced Indian cuisine chef to join our team at THE GURU FINE INDIAN CUISINE (2289833 Ontario Inc.).

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as supervising kitchen staff and helpers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in South Indian and East Indian cuisine and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Recruit and hire staff
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong background in South Indian and East Indian cuisine
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
