Strategic Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist

Ottawa Festival Network is seeking a creative and dynamic Marketing and Communications Officer to promote our new community arts engagement series as part of our 38th season in Strathcona Park.

The successful candidate will work with the General Manager to create effective digital marketing and social media campaigns to promote performances and events in CREATE, our community outreach programs and special events. This position will work remotely and at our office in downtown Ottawa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementing marketing initiatives to promote our summer season;
  • Developing written and visual digital creative materials (including video);
  • Updating our websites and social media;
  • Preparing and monitoring digital ads;
  • Creating blogs, interviews, and taking photos and videos;
  • Overseeing distribution of printed marketing materials;
  • Media relations and outreach.

Requirements:

  • Training/experience in marketing, communications, media/public relations, Theatre or similar;
  • Possession of excellent writing skills;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal);
  • Experience with Social Media platforms;
  • Able to show initiative and work independently.
