At Hundseth Power Line Construction (HPL), we are seeking a skilled Apprentice Power Line Technician to join our team in Regina. This role involves working on various assignments related to the installation, construction, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines, transmission lines, switching stations, substations, communication networks, streetlight facilities, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including the ability to operate hand and power tools such as backhoes, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, HydroVac machines, directional bore machines, digger derrick trucks, all-terrain track machines, crawler dozers, bobcats, forklifts, and trackhoes. Additionally, they must be able to follow safety procedures on the job site and report any violations to the foreman.

We require a valid Apprentice Power Line Technician Trade card from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission and a Class 5 driver's license with a preferred 1A endorsement. Previous experience operating heavy equipment, such as backhoes, trenchers, and skid-steer loaders, would be an asset. The successful candidate will also have one or more years of experience in the construction industry and be able to lift heavy tools and equipment.

In this role, you will work independently and as part of a team to complete projects efficiently and safely. You will also be required to travel out of town during the week or on weekends as needed. We offer a competitive salary of $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
