As a Financial Consultant - Early Career Segment with MD Financial Management, you will play a key role in prospecting, retaining, and growing MD's market share in the medical student, resident, and new in practice physician communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Build trusted relationships with MD clients through active listening and by developing an appreciation of their needs and goals.
- Develop and implement financial plans addressing goal setting, cash flow, debt, education funding, investment management, medical practice incorporation, tax mitigation, risk management, retirement planning, and estate planning.
- Recommend investment strategies based on MD Management's developed and managed optimal portfolio ranges, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, MD program and process requirements, and Scotiabank's risk appetite and culture.
- Prepare and execute quarterly business plans to meet individual, regional, and corporate targets.
- Participate in and/or conduct financial planning seminars and other Early Career hosted events to educate clients on financial literacy and MD Management's offerings.
- University degree in business, commerce, or equivalent degree related to financial planning.
- CIRO licensed as a Registered Representative (IIROC-RR) including completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC), the Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH), and 90-day training.
- Life License (LLQP) and a willingness to complete other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to travel.
