Aecon is seeking a highly skilled Document Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our document control system.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain project documentation, including creating and distributing project distribution matrices.
- Provide training and support to project team members on document control best practices.
- Identify and escalate system issues to the Project Controls or Document Control Manager in a timely manner.
- Continuously improve document control processes and identify new software solutions.
- Assist in creating and implementing reporting systems to track critical project documentation.
- Develop and maintain reports in EDMS systems.
- Prepare end-of-project reports and assist in creating contract submittals.
- Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of document control experience in a construction project/site environment.
- Experience with electronic document management systems and document control software.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office applications and Portable Document format software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
