CS Group Canada, a leading developer and certifier of safety-critical systems, is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to join its dynamic team. As a key member of the Functional Safety department, you will contribute to the development of next-generation electric and autonomous on-road and off-road vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety and security analyses in accordance with industry standards, including ISO 26262 and IEC 61508.
- Perform hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards throughout the system lifecycle.
- Define safety goals and requirements for system components and subsystems, including hardware and software.
- Participate in technical discussions as part of business development efforts.
- Review functional safety and cybersecurity work products.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
- Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA / HAZOP).
- Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with clients.
