Senior System Safety Engineer

CS Group Canada is a leader in the development and certification of safety-critical systems in the aerospace, electric, and autonomous driving industries. We are seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer with practical expertise in safety/mission-critical embedded systems to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of next-generation electric and autonomous on-road and off-road vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare safety and security analysis in accordance with ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, and IEC 62061.
- Conduct hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards throughout the system lifecycle.
- Define safety goals and requirements for system components and subsystems, including hardware and software.
- Perform safety analyses, including FMEA, FTA, DFA, and fault injection, to evaluate system safety performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Participate in technical discussions as part of business development efforts.
- Perform reviews on functional safety and cybersecurity work products.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
- Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA/HAZOP).
- Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA.
