Senior System Safety Engineer (Electric and Autonomous Systems)

CS Group Canada, a leading developer and certifier of safety-critical systems, is seeking a Senior System Safety Engineer to join its dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have practical expertise in safety/mission critical embedded systems and a strong understanding of industry standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, and IEC 62061.

The Senior System Safety Engineer will be responsible for preparing safety and security analyses, conducting hazard analysis and risk assessments, defining safety goals and requirements, and performing safety analyses to evaluate system safety performance.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, and at least 10 years of experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare safety and security analysis in accordance with industry standards.

  • Participate in technical discussions as part of business development efforts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in system safety engineering, with a focus on automotive systems.
  • Experience in hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA / HAZOP).
  • Experience in system safety analysis type FMEA.
  • Experience with at least one of the following: ISO 26262, ISO 13849, IEC 61508, IEC 62061.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to reach out to clients.
