Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Provincial Assessment Centre

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Provincial Assessment Centre. As an Occupational Therapist, you will work with clients who have complex mental health and substance use issues, providing assessment, planning, and implementation of occupational therapy services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess clients' occupational performance and develop individualized plans to address their needs and goals.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to provide comprehensive care.
  • Implement occupational therapy services using evidence-based approaches and diverse intervention methods.
  • Manage a complex caseload and coordinate care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients and families on occupational performance and rehabilitation issues.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two years' recent experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues.
  • Current full registration with the College of Health Care and Professionals of British Columbia.
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
