Job Title: Occupational Therapist - Provincial Assessment Centre

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Provincial Assessment Centre in Coquitlam, BC. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a critical role in assessing and treating clients with complex mental health and substance use challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their occupational performance issues and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with clients, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to clients and their families on occupational therapy techniques and strategies.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and develop care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of occupational therapy programs and services.
Requirements:
  • Baccalaureate in Occupational Therapy.
  • Two (2) years' recent, related experience working in a psychiatric setting with individuals who have complex mental health and addictions issues.
  • Current full registration with the College of Health Care and Professionals of British Columbia.
  • Eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT).
  • Valid BC Driver's License (for Provincial Assessment Centre Outreach).
