We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Howard Johnson Hotel. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, ensuring that all aspects of the business run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Management
- Co-ordinate, assign and review work to ensure that all tasks are completed to a high standard.
- Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies to ensure that they are equipped to provide excellent customer service.
- Operations and Maintenance
- Maintain the operation of computer systems, equipment, machinery and arrange repair work to ensure business continuity and customer service delivery.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Develop and implement mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees to facilitate their integration into the workplace.
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Support for Indigenous People
- Offer mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers to support their career development.
- Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Employee Relations
- Ensure that all employees are aware of and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Communication
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including employees, guests, and management, to ensure that all needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Permanent position.
- English language proficiency.
- 30 to 35 hours per week.
