Equipment Maintenance and Leadership Position in Kelowna

At Potentia Human Resources Inc., we are seeking a skilled leader to manage our car wash operations in Kelowna, BC. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive compensation package and the chance to contribute to the success of our well-established business.
The successful candidate will oversee all daily operations, maintain equipment, hire and train great people, and provide exceptional customer service. With strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, you will be able to step in and keep things running smoothly. As a proven people leader, you will take ownership of the business and lead the way in creating a strong team culture and appreciative work environment.
This full-time position (40 hours/week) is based in Kelowna, BC, and offers a salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 per year, plus a performance bonus of approximately $3,000-$5,000 per year. The role can be performed Monday to Friday (8 AM – 4 PM) or Monday to Saturday (8 AM – 2 PM), providing flexibility to suit your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clean, well-functioning facilities and equipment to ensure consistent mechanical performance and optimal operating conditions;
- Oversee and complete all daily operational activities;
- Manage employee scheduling to ensure optimal coverage and profitability;
- Direct and supervise employee tasks;
- Manage sales, inventory, maintenance, cleaning, and site inspections;
- Provide employees with support and leadership;
- Foster a positive environment by proactively addressing claims and concerns and maintaining strong relationships within the team and with customers;
- Ensure team safety and asset protection by identifying, addressing, and mitigating risks;
- Manage all aspects of health & safety to ensure compliance with provincial legislation and maintain a strong safety culture;
- Completes other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in maintaining and troubleshooting car wash (or similar) equipment;
- Ability to lead a team with professionalism, motivate others, and communicate respectfully;
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities;
- Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic;
- Excellent interpersonal relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect and build relationships with others;
- Dedication to providing high-quality customer service;
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment;
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy;
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role;
- This position may require occasional evening or weekend work.
