Kitchen Supervisor

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Supervise Kitchen Staff**: Provide leadership and direction to kitchen staff, including cooks, and kitchen assistants. Delegate tasks and ensure that all team members adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and consistency. Conduct regular inspections of food products, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- **Training and Development**: Train new kitchen staff members on proper cooking techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation standards. Provide ongoing coaching and support to help team members improve their skills and performance.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and ingredients, and place orders as needed. Minimize waste and control costs by efficiently managing inventory and portion sizes.
- **Kitchen Maintenance**: Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas. Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
- **Adherence to Regulations**: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including HACCP guidelines. Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
**Qualifications**:
- Proven experience working in a high-volume kitchen environment, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and presentation.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation guidelines.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
**Education and Certification**:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
- Food Safe Certification or equivalent preferred.

**Salary**: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
