Job Title: Woodworking Machine Operator

M and J Woodcrafts Ltd. is seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate computerized and manual woodworking machines. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate computerized and manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts.
  • Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.
  • Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.
  • Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment to maintain optimal performance.
  • Replace parts as required to ensure continuous production.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment.
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
