About M and J Woodcrafts Ltd.

We are a leading manufacturer of wood products, seeking a skilled Woodworking Machine Operator to join our team. As a Woodworking Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Operation: Set up, program, and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines to fabricate or repair wooden parts.
  • Fabrication and Repair: Fabricate or repair wooden parts for furniture, fixtures, and other wood products, including gluing pieces or wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment, and replace parts as required.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Operate computerized woodworking machines, gluing machines, and other specialized equipment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a noisy wood products manufacturing environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and manual dexterity required.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
