Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, address customers' complaints or concerns, and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers.
  • Operations: Establish methods to meet work schedules, prepare budget and cost estimates, and ensure that the restaurant is running efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure, and a strong attention to detail.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to work under pressure to meet the demands of a busy restaurant. The role will also require the ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with regular exposure to hot temperatures and odours.
