Canadian Blood Services is seeking a skilled Testing Support Associate to join our dynamic Testing team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the effective implementation of initiatives at Testing sites, ensuring excellent customer service, and providing subject matter expertise to resolve issues and trends.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement process improvements to standardize and streamline Testing processes.
- Provide technical support and information to Testing sites and Head Office departments to facilitate problem-solving and resolution of issues.
- Assist in the evaluation of test kits, reagents, equipment, and software to ensure the selection of the appropriate product.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement activities to monitor site performance and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain work instruction forms, training materials, and educational sessions to ensure consistency and standardization.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience working in a Supervisory or Charge Technologist capacity or extensive experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
- An appropriate Provincial Medical Laboratory Technologist License is required (CSMLS/CMLTO).
- BSc. in Laboratory Science or Advanced Registered Technologist (ART) or equivalent experience is an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving, time management, analytical, and planning skills are required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English are essential for presentation to all levels of employees.
- Computer skills are essential with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Software Programs including Access, Excel, Power Point, and Word applications.
