About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. As a key member of our support services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services to our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of designated staff, providing guidance and feedback to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Dietitian to plan menus and develop recipes that meet the nutritional and therapeutic needs of our patients and residents.
  • Estimate food requirements, order and receive supplies, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Monitor expenditures for assigned areas and make recommendations for budget allocations.
  • Evaluate meal quality and quantity to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Coordinate meal preparation, pricing, and other related duties for community-based services such as Meals on Wheels.
  • Assist in coordinating and maintaining facility in-house services, including cafeteria operations and inventory management.
  • Perform audits to ensure compliance with food service and quality assurance standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a diploma from a recognized two-year Food Service/Nutrition Management program and a minimum of 1 year recent experience in a similar role.
