We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Shipper to join our team at Hunter Express Ltd. as a Logistics Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of our logistics operations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis, providing insights and recommendations for process improvements.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, arranging for maintenance and repair work as needed.
- Staff Management: Recruit, hire, and train staff, conducting performance reviews and providing guidance on company policies and procedures.
- Logistics Planning: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of our organization, including the requisitioning and ordering of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Computer and Technology: Utilize MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Word to manage and analyze data, create reports, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling heavy loads, and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain management.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
- Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work overtime as needed.
