The Role:

Entrust Corporation is seeking a seasoned data protection professional to lead the company's information security department. As the Data Protection Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing the company's data protection strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data protection policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and classify sensitive data
  • Own the enterprise data protection strategy and corresponding policies and standards
  • Collaborate with external auditors and assist in due diligence requests
  • Lead cross-functional team members through an indirect reporting relationship
  • Review and prioritize data protection improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or demonstrated significant expertise in data protection
  • 10+ years of progressive and relevant work experience, with demonstrated leadership skills
  • One or more relevant professional certifications
  • Understanding of legal, regulatory, and/or customer requirements for data protection
  • Familiarity with data protection technologies and solutions
