Job Summary

Microsoft is seeking a highly skilled IT Technical Trainer to join our Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) Learning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training to our IT technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support our cloud services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver training programs that meet the needs of our IT technicians, including cloud computing, datacenter operations, and IT infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create training content that is relevant, engaging, and effective.
  • Deliver training sessions in-person and virtually, using a variety of delivery methods, including presentations, discussions, labs, and simulations.
  • Use digitally enhanced instructor-led resources to deliver technology-based learning experiences that prepare our IT technicians for local qualifications.
  • Apply classroom management techniques to reinforce learning and ensure content and concepts are understood and aligned with operational goals.
  • Monitor the progress of learners and provide feedback to ensure they are meeting the required standards.
  • Participate in hands-on lab activities to further build upon learning and provide course content feedback to the broader Learning Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, System Engineering, or related field, and 2+ years of experience in IT training and development.
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in both English and French is required for this role.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including a background check and reliability status screening.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, System Engineering, or related field, and 4+ years of experience in IT training and development.
  • CompTIA certifications, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Enterprise Product Integration (EPI) certifications, or equivalent.
  • Azure certifications, Microsoft 365 certifications, or equivalent.
  • Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) Certification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Datacenter & IT Operations across various functions and College or university degree, US Armed Services Honorable Discharge, or additional 2+ years' experience.
