Job Title: Senior Road Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Road Safety Specialist to join our team at Manitoba Public Insurance. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing proactive loss prevention strategies to reduce losses from vehicle collisions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of current testing and training methods, program results, and claims data to identify trends and recommend changes. You will also evaluate current programming to identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations that support our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify best practices and innovative solutions to prevent road safety incidents.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic plans to reduce losses from vehicle collisions.
  • Evaluate current programming and policies to identify areas of improvement and make recommendations.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders and other jurisdictions to create and refine recommendations.
Requirements
  • Degree in commerce, public administration, business administration, or related discipline.
  • Five years of related experience in research, planning, analysis, or policy development and evaluation.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and evaluate researched information to build a business case and support ideas.
  • Presentation, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a concise and straightforward manner.

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
