Job Overview

As a Process Optimization Consultant at Scotiabank, you will be part of a team that drives transformative initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs. This role is ideal for individuals with 0-2 years of relevant experience in cost reduction and productivity improvement.

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Process Engineer who will work collaboratively in a team setting to solve problems and deliver outstanding advice and solutions to engagement partners. The successful candidate will use analytical and quantitative problem-solving methods to assess, design and implement optimization opportunities to better connect, streamline and simplify cross-functional operations.

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Providing advice and guidance to management and staff on business process management principles, Lean Six Sigma regarding the identification, improvement, and sustainment of process improvement initiatives (DMAIC).
  2. Effectively communicating complex ideas and strategically influencing middle and executive leadership to adopt productivity improvements and champion change management.
  3. Championing a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge, in supporting team objectives and personal development.
  4. Understanding how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

In return, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $85,000 to $110,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience, plus access to ongoing learning opportunities, mentorship, and exposure to cutting-edge methodologies in Business Process Re-Engineering, enhancing skill sets and career advancement prospects.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A post-secondary degree in business, information technology or related discipline.
  2. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an asset.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
