Job Title: Plumber, Maintenance and Repair

We are seeking a skilled Plumber, Maintenance and Repair professional to join our team at Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, as well as supervising other workers and scheduling personnel, tools, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects.
  • Instruct apprentices in plumbing techniques and best practices.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing projects.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Supervise other workers and ensure that plumbing projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements:
  • Backflow prevention Certification.
  • Plumber Trade Certification.
  • Working at heights training.
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
  • Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload and will be required to work under pressure. The candidate must be physically demanding and able to handle heavy loads, bend, crouch, and kneel.
