Job Title: Plumber, Maintenance and Repair

We are seeking a skilled Plumber, Maintenance and Repair professional to join our team at Everest Drain & Plumbing Inc.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, including water supply networks and waste and drainage systems. This is a permanent position requiring a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems
  • Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects
  • Instruct apprentices in plumbing techniques and best practices
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
  • Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing projects
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
  • Supervise other workers on plumbing projects
  • Estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size
Requirements:
  • Backflow prevention Certification
  • Plumber Trade Certification
  • Working at heights training
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Driver's License (Class 3 or D)
  • Plumber Red Seal Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in confined spaces, wet/damp environments, and various locations. The successful candidate must be willing to relocate for this position and have a valid driver's license.
