Job Title: Bottle Depot Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bottle Depot Supervisor to join our team at Parksville Bottle & Recycling Centre. As a Bottle Depot Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bottle and can recycling centre, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement plans to prioritize tasks and optimize operational logistics
  • Organize and coordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure smooth operation of the centre
  • Prepare and submit reports on operational performance and productivity
  • Ensure the maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Coordinate and assign work to staff, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed
  • Organize and maintain inventory of materials and supplies
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects
Working Conditions:
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
