About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bottle Depot Supervisor to join our team at Parksville Bottle & Recycling Centre. As a Bottle Depot Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our bottle depot, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Operational Plans: Create specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure the smooth operation of our bottle depot.
  • Organize and Coordinate Tasks: Oversee the organization of tasks to accomplish work, including coordinating activities with other work units or departments.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, and organize and maintain inventory.
  • Lead and Train Staff: Recruit, hire, and train staff in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance and Quality: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
