Bottle Depot Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bottle Depot Supervisor to join our team at Parksville Bottle & Recycling Centre. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our bottle depot, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Operational Plans: Create specific plans to prioritize tasks, organize work, and oversee operational logistics.
  • Co-ordinate Activities: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Prepare Reports: Prepare and submit reports to management on operational performance and any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work as needed.
  • Recruit and Train Staff: Recruit and hire staff, train workers in duties and policies, and arrange training for staff.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory, and requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent, full-time position working 35 to 40 hours per week. The work language is English, and the work term is permanent.
