Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Specialist to join our team at Sysco Canada. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and address customers' complaints or concerns.
Requirements
  • Licenses and Certifications: Possess a valid AZ class license, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and a Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Previous experience as a truck driver is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads, sit for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
