Trucking Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trucking Operations Specialist to join our team at Black Empire. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work with a dynamic and growing company in the trucking industry.

The estimated salary for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role will be to transport goods safely and efficiently across the country, adhering to all regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Transport and handle dangerous goods
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption

In addition to driving responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to:

  • Coach colleagues on new methods or work techniques
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations

The ideal candidate will have an AZ class license and a valid driver's license. A criminal record check, drug test, and driver's validity licence check will also be required.

The working conditions for this role will be physically demanding and require repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and sitting for long periods.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • An AZ class license and a valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
