Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team at 7shifts. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing our revenue accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform monthly close activities, including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses.
  • Own the monthly revenue recognition process in NetSuite.
  • Research, interpret, and prepare accounting policy memos to support the accounting treatment for revenue under IFRS 15.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to track and record transactions relating to revenue-sharing arrangements.
  • Oversee and manage sales tax compliance within Avalara.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date internal control and process documentation.
  • Produce quarterly external investor reports.
  • Support annual financial statement audit processes.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting with a focus on revenue.
  • Experience using NetSuite or Stripe.
  • A Professional Accounting Designation (CPA).
  • Proficient with Excel and Google Sheets, leveraging these tools for advanced formulas and summarizing calculations.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and executing on internal controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail in identifying discrepancies.
  • Innovative thinker with a passion for process improvement and automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a SaaS environment.
  • Experience working with sales tax.
