Planning Consultant

We are seeking a Strategic Urban Planner to join our Community Planning Branch in Saskatoon.

The ideal candidate will possess superior problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills to work on planning proposals, bylaws, and subdivision applications for compliance with provincial interests and planning standards.

  • Analyze planning proposals, bylaws, and subdivision applications for compliance with provincial interests and planning standards.
  • Ensure integrated inter-ministry approaches to community development, sustainable infrastructure, and land use planning.
  • Consult with organizations and agencies on development issues and policies.

This role requires a degree in planning or a related field combined with several years of experience in land use planning at a provincial or municipal level. Preference will be given to those with full membership in the Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute and the Canadian Institute of Planners.

Candidates must clearly describe their relevant knowledge, skills, and abilities in their resume or cover letter. Interviews will be selected based on this information.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Planning or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land use planning.
  • Membership in Saskatchewan Professional Planners Institute and Canadian Institute of Planners (an asset).

Salary Range: $36.70 - $45.99 per hour
