Job Title: User Support Technician

Join Joe Apps Technology Support as a User Support Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional technical support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch assistance to users experiencing difficulties with computer systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Respond to user inquiries and provide solutions to technical issues related to computer systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Training and Development: Provide advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties, ensuring they have the necessary skills to use computer systems effectively.
  • Log Management: Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts.
  • Collaboration: Participate in the redesign of applications and other software to improve user experience.
  • Supervision: Supervise other technical support workers in this group, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up equipment for employee use, ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Incident Management: Manage incidents and provide timely resolutions to technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Availability: Willing to travel and work in a fast-paced environment.
