About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Educator to join our team at Optima Living. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding care and support to our residents, their families, and our team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and address the educational and training needs of our communities to ensure high-quality care and services.
  2. Collaborate to design and deliver education programs that meet our organization's needs.
  3. Ensure excellent resident outcomes and satisfaction through targeted training and education.
  4. Support the development of education programs based on standards, compliance requirements, and employee learning needs.
  5. Stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in service delivery and ensure our team members receive the necessary training.
  6. Develop and deliver training programs for new equipment and work methods.
  7. Participate in the delivery of education programs onsite in our Alberta communities.
  8. Assist in implementing strategies to improve quality of care and compliance with legislation.
  9. Encourage employee participation and engagement in education programs.
  10. Evaluate the effectiveness and quality of education programs and gather feedback.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of residents' health information and documentation in accordance with local, provincial, and legislative Privacy Acts and Policies.
  12. Work with management and regulatory bodies to collect and deliver information required for audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of a nursing diploma.
  • Registration with a provincial nursing association and good standing.
  • A minimum of five years of experience delivering training and education to clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Previous experience in a supportive living environment is an asset.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of relevant standards, acts, and laws.
  • Active First Aid/CPR Certificate.
  • Adult education and project management certification are an asset.
