The University of Ottawa is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Security to lead its technical vision and implement security measures to protect the university network and computing systems. As a key member of the Infrastructure and Operations team, you will be responsible for developing and administering security policies, monitoring access to the network, and managing physical, data, and systems security.

**Position Purpose:**
Reporting to the Senior Director, Infrastructure and Operations, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing the university's technical vision and leading all aspects of identity, access, and security management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in identity access management, security, project planning, risk analysis, and IT resource management.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develops and administers security measures to restrict, control, and monitor access to the university network and computing systems.
- Collaborates with client managers to identify new business needs and opportunities for technology to solve business problems.
- Creates or oversees the creation of detailed project plans using sophisticated tools and techniques.
- Oversees the design of complete solutions to complex business problems using expert knowledge of technology and business process analysis techniques.
- Directs all aspects of systems analysis and design, programming, debugging, quality assurance testing, technical documentation, and system implementation.
**What You Will Bring:**
- A university degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a complex and diverse IT environment demonstrating experience in identity access management, security, project planning, risk analysis, and IT resources management.
- Knowledge of the university's information technology policies, procedures, and standards.
- Experience working with various software development methodologies, tools, and techniques, including systems analysis, data modeling, database design, system design, programming, quality assurance, documentation, change management, and problem management.
**Salary Range:** $108,337 - $134,456 per annum, based on location and qualifications. The salary range may vary depending on the successful candidate's background and experience.
