About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at o/a I Hop Restaurant. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our food service department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff
    • Direct and supervise the activities of food service staff to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
    • Coordinate the preparation and portioning of food to meet customer demand.
  • Train and Develop Staff
    • Train new staff members in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Manage Food and Supplies
    • Estimate and order food and supplies to meet customer demand.
    • Manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Ensure Quality and Safety
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Implement and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manage Budget and Reports
    • Prepare and manage budgets for food and supplies.
    • Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
