Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our fine dining establishment, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and preparing budget and cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns and prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Must have knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres and establish work schedules.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and be a team player.
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a noisy and hot environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The role requires standing for extended periods and working under pressure.

Security and Safety:

The Food Service Supervisor must be bondable and able to work in a secure and safe environment.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

The Food Service Supervisor will work 30 to 40 hours per week, with the possibility of shift or on-call work.
