Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a noisy and hot environment
  • Knowledge of the establishment's culinary genres
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Work Environment:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. The successful candidate must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a hot environment.
