Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Grand Falls Agromart Ltd. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-truck and trailer, transporting goods across various routes, and ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment and GPS devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure safe operation.
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
Requirements:
  • Licenses and Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Documentation: Driver logbook, inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip).
  • Transportation Experience: Local transportation experience, valid driver's licence.
  • Work Conditions: Overtime required, repetitive tasks, sitting.
