Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation: Operate a semi-trailer truck to transport goods and materials to various locations, ensuring timely delivery and safe transportation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, including checking tires, lights, brakes, and other equipment.
  • Logistics: Plan and adjust routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions, using computer equipment and GPS navigation systems.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks)
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
Work Environment:

This is a permanent position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The ideal candidate will have excellent judgment, be organized, reliable, and a team player.
