Job Title: Truck Driver

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Grand Falls Agromart Ltd. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck to transport goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning: Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Inspections and Record-Keeping: Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
Requirements:
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Documentation: Driver logbook and inspection report.
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation Experience: Local transportation experience.
  • Work Conditions: Overtime required, repetitive tasks, and sitting.
  • Personal Suitability: Judgement, organized, reliability, and team player.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
