Executive Director, Tourism Development

About the Role
As the Executive Director of Travel Nunavut, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the organization's day-to-day operations, programs, and services. Working closely with staff and partners, you will implement effective management and organizational strategies to fulfill our mandate and objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in executing program promises and measuring outcomes to drive the continued growth and sustainability of the travel industry in Nunavut.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of Travel Nunavut's programs and services, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with staff and partners in Nunavut to implement initiatives that support the development and business success of our members.
- Oversee the measurement and evaluation of program outcomes to ensure effective delivery and impact.
About You:
You are someone who excels in business development and has a passion for the tourism industry. You possess strong leadership skills and a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders. Your ability to drive growth and innovation will be essential in achieving our vision of growing the travel sector to be a $1 billion industry with 5,000 jobs by 2030.
Requirements:
- University degree in business administration, tourism management, international development, or a related field.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Fluency in Inuktitut is an asset.
What We Offer:
An attractive compensation package ranging from $145,000 to $165,000 annually, which includes housing and northern living allowances, relocation assistance, bonus, and RRSP contribution program.
