As the Executive Director of Light Magazine, you will be responsible for leading the organization's relief, development, and peacebuilding work in Canada. You will work collaboratively with the MCC Canada Board and the MCC U.S. Executive Director to provide leadership for the shared MCC International Program.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in administrative leadership, with experience in a church-related mission or development organization. You will be responsible for cultivating relationships among International Program, provincial, and U.S. stakeholders, and embodying the voice of the organization both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing inspirational leadership in the development of creative and innovative programs and related support services
  • Leading the board and staff in the implementation of the MCC Covenants and the "Principles and Practices" document
  • Supervising directors of international program, national program, human resources, finance and administration, communications, and donor relations
  • Developing strong relationships with constituent denominations and conferences, and creating new partnerships with national and international-level organizations and agencies

The Executive Director will be a natural leader with a balanced and patient outlook, skilled in written and verbal communication in both small and large group settings. They will be able to communicate MCC's mission and values and connect these to biblical truths.
