Job Summary
We are seeking an International Student Advisor to join our team at Queen's University International Centre (QUIC). This role plays a pivotal part in the international student enrolment journey, from point of interest to arrival on campus. The successful candidate will provide services for international students, workers, and their family members, offering advice and guidance on immigration, student wellness, and academic support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and advice on immigration, student wellness, and academic support services to international students, workers, and their family members.
- Develop and deliver programming and workshops to support international students' transition and success.
- Represent QUIC at various local and international events, promoting the university's international education programs.
- Collaborate with other International Student Advisors, QUIC staff, and Student Affairs staff to coordinate activities related to pre-arrival support and orientation for incoming international students.
- Direct, allocate, and supervise the work of other staff members.
Requirements
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- More than 3 years and up to 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) certification.
