Job Summary
This role plays a pivotal part in the international student enrollment journey, from point of interest to arrival on campus. As an International Student Advisor, you will provide services for international students, workers, and their family members, offering advice and guidance on immigration, student wellness, and academic support services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive briefings and pre-arrival information to incoming international students.
- Develop and deliver programming and workshops to support international student success.
- Represent Queen's University at local and international events, promoting the university's brand and services.
- Collaborate with other International Student Advisors, Queen's University International Centre, and Student Affairs staff to ensure seamless execution of events and programs.
- Manage the Study Permit compliance process, ensuring all documentation meets government standards.
- Direct, allocate, and supervise the work of other staff members.
Requirements
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- More than 3 years and up to 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) certification.
