Job Summary
This role plays a critical part in the international student experience, providing advice and guidance on immigration, student wellness, and academic support services. The successful candidate will work closely with the Queen's University International Centre and Student Affairs staff to coordinate activities related to pre-arrival support and orientation for incoming international students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice and guidance on immigration, student wellness, and academic support services to international students, workers, and their family members.
- Develop and deliver programming and workshops to support international students, including pre-arrival and orientation activities.
- Represent Queen's University at international recruitment events and participate in professional networks to promote the university's international education programs.
- Collaborate with other International Student Advisors and staff to develop and implement strategic plans for international student support services.
- Supervise and direct the work of other staff members.
Requirements
- Four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent, with a focus on international education, student services, or a related field.
- More than 3 years and up to 5 years of experience in a related field, with a strong background in international student services.
- Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) certification.
