Job Summary
This role plays a critical part in the international student enrollment journey, from initial interest to arrival on campus. Reporting to the Senior Director, International Undergraduate Enrolment, and with oversight from the Director, Queen's University International Centre (QUIC), this position will provide advice and guidance on immigration, student wellness, and academic support services.
The successful candidate will lead the coordination of pre-arrival support and orientation for incoming international students, working closely with other International Student Advisors, Queen's University International Centre, and Student Affairs staff. This position also involves managing the Study Permit compliance process and directing the work of other staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide services for international students, workers, and their family members, including advice and guidance on immigration, student wellness, and academic support services.
- Develop and deliver programming and workshops to support international students, adapting content to meet the needs of diverse audiences.
- Coordinate pre-arrival support and orientation for incoming international students, working closely with other teams to ensure a seamless transition.
- Manage the Study Permit compliance process, ensuring all documentation meets government standards.
- Direct the work of other staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective delivery of services.
Requirements
- Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with trade certification or ongoing learning to remain current in the field.
- More than 3 years and up to 5 years of experience in a related field, with a Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) certification.
