About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled veterinarian to join our team at the Yellowknife Veterinary Clinic and Boutique. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our staff, and contributing to the overall success of our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a diverse range of animal health issues, including medical and surgical cases.
- Perform routine and complex surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgery and dentistry.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, wound care, and rehabilitation.
- Provide excellent client communication and education, ensuring that pet owners are informed and empowered to make informed decisions about their pets' care.
- Collaborate with our veterinary technicians and assistants to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest veterinary knowledge and best practices, participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Valid veterinary license in the Northwest Territories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
