We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Small Animal Veterinarian to join our team at the Yellowknife Veterinary Clinic and Boutique. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and delivering high-quality medical services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions in small animals, including routine and complex cases.
- Perform surgical procedures, including soft tissue surgery and dentistry, with precision and care.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication, surgery, and other therapies, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide excellent client communication and education, ensuring that pet owners are informed and empowered to make informed decisions about their pets' care.
- Collaborate with other veterinary professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinic operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine, including new technologies and treatment options.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Valid veterinary license in the Northwest Territories.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex medical cases and develop effective treatment plans.
